At Lion Nathan, we are guided by our core purpose and our four core values – acting with integrity, being passionate, achieving together and living sociability and wellbeing.
We are also guided by a range of best-in-class policies and procedures, as well as self-regulatory industry codes and legislation, which cover many of our
business operations.
As a participant in the Australian Federal Government’s Energy Efficiency Opportunities Program, Lion Nathan provides an assessment of energy efficiency opportunities across its sites. To review Lion Nathan’s Energy Efficiency Opportunities Public Reports, click on the following links:
We are proud of the long histories our breweries have in the communities in which we operate, and the iconic status many have earned over the years. Our Castlemaine Perkins Brewery in Milton is a great example – in 2009 the Brewery was selected as one of three inaugural businesses to be inducted into the Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame, and parts of the Brewery are even heritage listed under State Government legislation.
With this status comes responsibility, and we are committed to maintaining systems and controls that meet or exceed regulatory compliance and codes of practice.
In February 2009, the Queensland Government introduced protective legislation for Castlemaine Perkins Brewery, due to the introduction of multi-storey inner-suburb residential developments. We have worked directly with the developers to ensure new tenants are fully aware of the local environment and our operations – providing everyone with a clear understanding of their rights, and the rights of existing tenants such as the Castlemaine Perkins Brewery.
We remain committed to abiding by all rules and regulations governing noise, traffic movements and emissions, and will continue to work constructively with the local community to resolve any issues that might arise.
For those members of the public who may be interested, we provide access to our EPA Permit and Brewery Registration Certificateon this site.
